Where a political resolution (“the old resolution”) is in force and a ballot is held on a new political resolution, then— if the new resolution is passed, the old resolution is to be treated as rescinded, and if it is not passed, the old resolution ceases to have effect at the end of the period of two weeks beginning with the date of the ballot.
