In section 223 of the Local Government Act 1972 (which includes provision for authorised members or officers of the National Rivers Authority to conduct certain magistrates’ court proceedings on its behalf) in subsection (2)— . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . the words “and the National Rivers Authority” shall cease to have effect.
