Schedule 22, paragraph 172

In section 202 of that Act (information and assistance required in connection with the control of pollution) in subsection (4) (which creates a summary offence punishable by a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale) for the words from “liable, on summary conviction,” onwards there shall be substituted the words liable— on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum; on conviction on indictment, to a fine or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both. Subsection (5) of that section (which is superseded in consequence of the amendment made by sub-paragraph (1) above) shall cease to have effect.
