Schedule 2, Part I, paragraph 3(10)

In this paragraph— “the appropriate authority” means— in the case of a person employed in the civil service of the State, the Secretary of State; in the case of a transfer scheme under section 3 of this Act and a person employed by a body which is a waste regulation authority, that body; in the case of a transfer scheme under section 22 of this Act and a person employed by a local authority, that authority; “occupational pension scheme” has the meaning given by section 1 of the Pension Schemes Act 1993.
