The Secretary of State may remove a member from office if he is satisfied that the member— has been absent from meetings of SEPA for a period longer than three months without the permission of SEPA; or has been made bankrupt, has had a debt relief order (under Part 7A of the Insolvency Act 1986) made in respect of him, has made an arrangement with his creditors, has had his estate sequestrated or has granted a trust deed for his creditors or a composition contract; or is unable or unfit to carry out the functions of a member.
