Schedule 24, paragraph 19

In paragraphs 13 to 18 “the appointed day” means such day as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint; and different days may be appointed for different purposes. An order made by the Secretary of State under paragraph 15, 16 or 17— may make different provision for different purposes; and shall be made by statutory instrument which shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
