Schedule 8, paragraph 8

For the purposes of the Limitation Act 1980 (c. 58)— a liability to pay an indemnity under this Schedule is a simple contract debt, and the cause of action arises at the time when the claimant knows, or but for his own default might have known, of the existence of his claim.
