Section 83(1)

With respect to a Crown or Duchy interest, the appropriate authority— may represent the owner of the interest for all purposes of this Act, is entitled to receive such notice as that person is entitled to receive under this Act, and may make such applications and do such other acts as that person is entitled to make or do under this Act.
