Fraud Act 2006 · United Kingdom
A person is guilty of an offence if he has in his possession or under his control any article for use in the course of or in connection with any fraud. A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable— on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding the general limit in a magistrates’ court or to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum (or to both); on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to a fine (or to both). Subsection (2)(a) applies in relation to Northern Ireland as if the reference to 12 months were a reference to 6 months.
