In sub-paragraph (1)— “ solicitor ” means a person who has been admitted as a solicitor under the Advocates and Solicitors (Jersey) Law 1997; “ advocate ” means a person who has been admitted to the Bar under that Law; and “ foreign lawyer ” means a person who has not been admitted as mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) but is a member, and entitled to practise as such, of a legal profession regulated within a jurisdiction outside Jersey.
