Section 1256(5)

This section does not authorise— more than three years after the commission of the offence. in the case of proceedings in England and Wales, the trial of an information laid, in the case of proceedings in Scotland, the commencement of proceedings, or in the case of proceedings in Northern Ireland, the trial of a complaint made,
