Section 87(1)

An authority to which this section applies may acquire and dispose of units or interests in units representing— a reduction in an amount of greenhouse gas emissions, the removal of an amount of greenhouse gas from the atmosphere, or an amount of greenhouse gas emissions allowed under a scheme or arrangement imposing a limit on such emissions.
