The Bank of England may require a recognised person to pay fees. A requirement under subsection (1) must relate to a scale of fees approved by the Treasury by regulations. Regulations under subsection (2)— are to be made by statutory instrument, and are subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament. A requirement under subsection (1) may be enforced by the Bank as a civil debt owed to the Bank.
