Section 239

Section 1 of the Bank of England Act 1998 (court of directors) is amended as follows. In subsection (2) omit “16”. After subsection (2) insert— The number of directors must not exceed 9. The directors immediately before the day on which this section comes into force shall vacate office on that day (without prejudice to re-appointment).
