Section 142W(8)

A “clearance statement” is a statement issued by the Pensions Regulator under any of the following provisions— section 42 of the Pensions Act 2004 (clearance statements relating to contribution notice under section 38); section 46 of that Act (clearance statements relating to financial support directions); Article 38 of the Pensions (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 (clearance statements relating to contribution notices under article 34); Article 42 of that Order (clearance statements relating to financial support directions).
