Section 7(2)

The regulations may, in particular— amend the Building Societies Act 1986; apply any of the provisions contained in, or made under, Part 9B of FSMA 2000, with such modifications as the Treasury consider appropriate; authorise the making of rules or other instruments by the FCA or the PRA for the purposes of, or for purposes connected with, any provision made by the regulations; confer functions on the FCA or the PRA; make such consequential provision including amendments of any enactment as the Treasury consider appropriate.
