Section 54(8)

In this section and in section 55— “primary legislation” means— an Act; an Act of the Scottish Parliament; a Measure or Act of the National Assembly for Wales; Northern Ireland legislation; “subordinate legislation” means— subordinate legislation within the meaning of the Interpretation Act 1978; an instrument made under an Act of the Scottish Parliament; an instrument made under a Measure or Act of the National Assembly for Wales; an instrument made under Northern Ireland legislation; “transferred matter” has the meaning given by section 4(1) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
