Schedule 19, Part 1, paragraph 186

Paragraph 6 of Schedule 6 to the Immigration Act 2014 (information: limitation on powers) is amended as follows. The existing text becomes sub-paragraph (1). In that sub-paragraph, in paragraph (a)— for “the Data Protection Act 1998” substitute “ the data protection legislation ”, and for “are” substitute “ is ”. After that sub-paragraph insert— In this paragraph, “the data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act).
