Schedule 20, Part 1, paragraph 1(1)

In this Schedule— “the 1984 Act” means the Data Protection Act 1984; “the 1998 Act” means the Data Protection Act 1998; “the 2014 Regulations” means the Criminal Justice and Data Protection (Protocol No. 36) Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/3141); “data controller” has the same meaning as in the 1998 Act (see section 1 of that Act); “the old data protection principles” means the principles set out in— Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the 1998 Act, and regulation 30 of the 2014 Regulations.
