The listed GDPR provisions do not apply to personal data processed for the purposes of assessing a person's suitability for any of the following offices— archbishops and diocesan and suffragan bishops in the Church of England; deans of cathedrals of the Church of England; deans and canons of the two Royal Peculiars; the First and Second Church Estates Commissioners; lord-lieutenants; Masters of Trinity College and Churchill College, Cambridge; the Provost of Eton; the Poet Laureate; the Astronomer Royal.
