Section 42(3)

A period specified under subsection (1)(b) may be expressed in any way, including, for example, being expressed in a way such that— the period begins, or ends, when a specified condition is met, or the period begins when a specified condition is met and lasts for so long as the suspending regulations or a specified provision of those regulations has effect.
