Schedule 18, Part 2, paragraph 12

The modification of an obligation by an order under this Part binds— the parties to the proceedings in which the order is made, and any person who, as respects any of the land to which the modification relates, becomes a successor of a person bound by the modification. For the purposes of sub-paragraph (1) “successor of a person bound by the modification” means a person who holds, in respect of any of the land to which the modification relates— the estate held by the person so bound when the order modifying the obligation was made, or an estate in land derived (whether immediately or otherwise) from that estate after the order modifying the obligation was made.
