But, in the definition of “prescribed term for England and Wales” in sub-paragraph (5)— the reference to 51 weeks is to be read, until the commencement of section 281(5) of the Criminal Justice Act 2003, as a reference to 3 months; the reference to 12 months is to be read, until 2 May 2022, as a reference to 3 months.
