Section 16

Part 1 of the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006 (order-making powers) is amended as follows. In section 1(6) (power to remove or reduce burdens: definition of “legislation”) after paragraph (aa) (and before the “or” at the end of the paragraph) insert— any retained direct EU legislation, In section 12 (procedure: introductory) after subsection (2) insert— Paragraph 4 of Schedule 8 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (procedure for certain modifications of retained direct EU legislation or anything which is retained EU law by virtue of section 4 of that Act) does not apply in relation to orders under this Part.
