Schedule 14, paragraph 6

Section 9A (power to charge for ancillary services) is amended as follows. In subsection (2), in the words before paragraph (a), for “the activity of accepting a deposit or making a loan” substitute “an activity mentioned in subsection (3)”. After subsection (2) insert— The activities mentioned in this subsection are— accepting a deposit; making a loan; entering into a conditional sale agreement, as the seller; entering into a hire purchase agreement, as the person from whom goods are bailed or (in Scotland) hired.
