Schedule 9, Part 1, paragraph 1(9)

In the application of this section to Northern Ireland— the reference to a justice of the peace is a reference to a lay magistrate, and the reference to sections 15(5) to (8) and 16 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 is a reference to the equivalent provisions of the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989.
