Section 7(1)

In this Chapter— “EU directive” means a directive within the meaning of Article 288 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union; “EU tertiary legislation” has the same meaning as in the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (see section 20(1)); “legislation” means primary legislation, assimilated direct legislation or subordinate legislation; “regulator” means— the FCA, the PRA, the Bank of England, or the Payment Systems Regulator; “the transitional period” has the meaning given in section 2(2).
