Section 44

Before awarding a contract under section 41 or 43 a contracting authority must publish a transparency notice. A “transparency notice” means a notice setting out— that a contracting authority intends to award a contract directly, and any other information specified in regulations under section 95. This section does not apply in relation to the award of a contract under section 41 by virtue of paragraph 15 of Schedule 5 (direct award: user choice contracts).
