Section 15

Section 69 of the Companies Act 2006 (objection to company’s registered name) is amended as follows. In subsection (1)(b)— after “in the United Kingdom” insert “or elsewhere”; after “mislead” insert “members of the public in the United Kingdom or elsewhere”. In subsection (3), for the second sentence substitute “Any of the following may be joined as respondents— any member or person who was a member at the time at which the name was registered; any director or person who was a director at the time at which the name was registered.” In subsection (4), omit paragraph (b) (and the “or” at the end of that paragraph). In subsection (5), omit “, (b)”.
