Section 68

The Companies Act 2006 is amended as follows. In section 1082 (allocation of unique identifiers)— in subsection (1)— after “may” insert “by regulations”; after “in connection with the register” insert “or dealings with the registrar”; after paragraph (b) (but before the “or” at the end of that paragraph) insert— is an authorised corporate service provider; is an individual whose identity is verified, subsection (2)(c), for “a statement of the person’s name” substitute “any statement by or referring to the person”; in subsection (2), for paragraph (d) substitute— confer power on the registrar— to give a person a new unique identifier; to discontinue the use of a unique identifier for a person who is allocated a new identifier or who has more than one. In section 1087 (material not available for public inspection), after paragraph (d) insert— any statement made in accordance with regulations made by virtue of section 1082(2)(c).
