Section 40

The Secretary of State must remove a person from the DVS register if the person— asks to be removed from the register, ceases to provide all of the digital verification services in respect of which the person is registered in the register, or no longer holds a certificate from an accredited conformity assessment body certifying that at least one of those digital verification services is provided in accordance with the DVS trust framework. For the purposes of subsection (1)(c), a certificate is to be ignored if— it has expired in accordance with its terms, it has been withdrawn by the body that issued it, or it is required to be ignored by reason of provision included in the DVS trust framework under section 28(8).
