The Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997 · United Kingdom
Database right in a database is not infringed by anything done for— the purposes of the proceedings of a Royal Commission or statutory inquiry, or the purpose of reporting any such proceedings held in public. Database right in a database is not infringed by the issue to the public of copies of the report of a Royal Commission or statutory inquiry containing the contents of the database. In this paragraph “Royal Commission” and “statutory inquiry” have the same meaning as in section 46 of the 1988 Act.
