Section 18(2)

Regulations 4(1) and (2), 6(1), (2) and (7), 7(1) and (6), 8, 10(1), 11(1) and (2), 12(1), 13 , 13A and 16 do not apply— where characteristics peculiar to certain specific services such as the armed forces or the police, or to certain specific activities in the civil protection services, inevitably conflict with the provisions of these Regulations; to workers to whom the Civil Aviation (Working Time) Regulations 2004 apply; . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . to the activities of workers who are doctors in training.
