If a claimant does not file a reply to the defence, the defendant must prove the matters raised in the defence. If a claimant— the defendant must prove that matter even though it is not dealt with in the reply. files a reply to a defence; but fails to deal with a matter raised in the defence, (Part 22 requires a reply to be verified by a statement of truth.)
