Section 2.1

Subject to paragraph (2), these Rules apply to all proceedings in— the County Court; the High Court; and the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal. These Rules do not apply to proceedings of the kinds specified in the first column of the following Table (proceedings for which rules may be made under the enactments specified in the second column) except to the extent that they are applied to those proceedings by another enactment— Insolvency proceedings Non-contentious or common form probate proceedings Proceedings in the High Court when acting as a Prize Court Proceedings before the Court of Protection Family proceedings Adoption proceedings Election petitions in the High Court These Rules apply to proceedings under— subject to the provisions of the relevant practice direction which applies to those proceedings. the Companies Act 1985; the Companies Act 2006; and other legislation relating to companies and limited liability partnerships,
