The court may sit with assessors when hearing— and, whenever it does so, the parties will not be permitted to call expert witnesses unless the court orders otherwise. collision claims; ... other claims involving issues of navigation or seamanship ; or a reference as defined in paragraph 13.1 of Practice Direction 61, (Paragraph 26A of Practice Direction 52C makes provision regarding assessors who assist the Court of Appeal in appeals from decisions of the Admiralty Court.)
