Section 77.11

The defendant must, if wishing to respond to the application, file— an acknowledgment of service within 14 days of service of the claim form under rule 77.10; and a witness statement which— within 28 days of service of the claim form under rule 77.10. deals with the conditions in section 55(1), (2) and (4) of the 1996 Act; and exhibits any relevant documents (which may include a copy of any record of court proceedings), The defendant must serve the documents in paragraph (1) on the claimant within 7 days of filing them with the court. Rule 8.5(3) does not apply.
