Section 16(3)

In this Part, “planning authority” means— a local planning authority; a local planning authority or minerals and waste planning authority for the purposes of Part 2 of the 2004 Act; a person appointed under paragraph 1 of Schedule 6 to the 1990 Act ; a government department in respect of its functions under the planning Acts; or an appropriate authority in respect of its functions under the planning Acts.
