Section 8(4)

An appropriate authority must ensure that the waste management plans conform to the strategy for the reduction of biodegradable waste going to landfill— in relation to England, required by section 17(1) of the Waste and Emissions Trading Act 2003 ; in relation to Wales, required by section 19(1) of that Act.
