Schedule 1, Part 2, Chapter 1, paragraph 1

Part A(1)(f) does not include— the use of any substance as a fuel; the incineration in a waste incineration plant or waste co-incineration plant of any substance as a waste; any activity for the treatment of sewage or sewage sludge; the anaerobic digestion of biodegradable material, whether or not containing or comprising waste.
