Schedule 23, Part 6, paragraph 8

A person (“A”) is exempt from the requirement for an environmental permit to carry on the radioactive substances activity described in paragraph 11(5) of Part 2 of this Schedule in respect of— a mobile radioactive apparatus described in an entry in column 1 of Table 4 where— that apparatus contains a quantity of radionuclides that does not exceed the value specified in column 2 of Table 4 in respect of an apparatus of that description, and A complies with the conditions in sub-paragraph (2), or mobile radioactive apparatus stored in transit. The conditions in this sub-paragraph are that A must— ensure that in relation to the total amount of all such mobile radioactive apparatus that A holds, the quantity of radionuclides does not exceed the value specified, in respect of an apparatus of that description, in column 3 of Table 4, and comply with the relevant standard conditions.
