Schedule 25C, Part 1, paragraph 2(4)

For the purposes of this paragraph— a generator is a “back-up generator” if it is operated for the sole purpose of maintaining power supply to a site during an on-site emergency (and use for test purposes for no more than 50 hours in any single calendar year is to be regarded as falling within that purpose); “specified installation” means an installation carrying on any of the following activities for the purposes of generating electricity— an activity described in Part A(1) of Section 1.1 of Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 1, or an activity described in Part A(1) of Section 5.1 of Chapter 5 of Part 2 of Schedule 1.
