Schedule 3, Part 1, Chapter 3, paragraph 11(3)
For the purposes of this paragraph, the specific conditions are that— the total quantity of waste treated or stored over any 12-month period does not exceed 1,000 tonnes, best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques are used, the waste is stored in accordance with paragraph 1 of Annex VIII to the WEEE Directive, the waste is treated in accordance with paragraph 2 of Annex VIII to the WEEE Directive, the minimum recovery targets set out in Annex V to the WEEE Directive are met, the operation meets the technical requirements specified in Annex VIII to the WEEE Directive, in relation to any relevant waste falling within codes 160211* (WEEE containing CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs) or 200123* (WEEE containing CFCs), the waste is stored in such a manner so as to prevent the release of CFCs, HCFCs and HFCs, the waste is stored in such a manner that its environmentally sound re-use or recycling is not hindered, the operation is for the purposes of— re-using the WEEE for its original purpose, re-using any dismantled components for their original purpose, or dismantling the WEEE components for the purposes of recovery, and in relation to dismantling, any fluids are removed and further treatment carried out in accordance with Annex VII to the WEEE Directive.
