Schedule 3, Part 1, Chapter 3, paragraph 28

The treatment of controlled drugs consisting of relevant waste by sorting and de-naturing them prior to their disposal. The table specifying relevant waste for the purposes of this paragraph is set out below. For the purposes of this paragraph, the specific conditions are that— the total quantity of waste treated or stored at any one time does not exceed 1 cubic metre, the treatment and storage are carried on at the place of production, and no waste is stored for longer than 6 months. In this paragraph, “controlled drug” means a controlled drug specified in Schedules 1 to 5 to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 .
