Section 56

The relevant licensing body may grant a licence in relation to the introduction of new species from ships, but must not do so unless it is satisfied that the action authorised by the licence will not prejudice natural habitats within their natural range or wild native flora and fauna. Regulation 54 does not apply to anything done under and in accordance with the terms of a licence granted under paragraph (1).
