Section 68(1)

This regulation applies if— documents or information which are reasonably required by a supervisory authority in connection with the exercise by the authority of any of the functions given to it under these Regulations are not (as far as the supervisory authority is aware) available in the United Kingdom; and the supervisory authority has reason to believe that such documents or information may be held by a person who is within the jurisdiction of a foreign authority.
