Section 46AB
A person must not directly or indirectly procure services relating to a specified ship. For the purposes of this regulation, services relating to a specified ship include, in particular, services involving the use of that specified ship. Paragraph (1) is subject to Part 7 (Exceptions and licences). A person who contravenes a prohibition in paragraph (1) commits an offence, but it is a defence for a person charged with the offence of contravening paragraph (1) to show that the person did not know and had no reasonable cause to suspect that the ship in relation to which the services were procured was a specified ship. In this regulation a “specified ship” means a ship specified by the Secretary of State under regulation 57F (specification of ships) for the purposes of this regulation.
