A person must not charter a specified ship, if the person knows, or has reasonable cause to suspect, that the ship is a specified ship. A person must not operate a specified ship, if the person knows, or has reasonable cause to suspect, that the ship is a specified ship. Paragraphs (1) and (2) are subject to Part 7 (Exceptions and licences). A person who contravenes a prohibition in paragraph (1) or (2) commits an offence. In this regulation a “specified ship” means a ship specified by the Secretary of State under regulation 57F (specification of ships) for the purposes of this regulation.
