Multi-annual national control plans may be adjusted during their implementation. Amendments may be made in the light of, or in order to take account of, factors including: new legislation; the emergence of new diseases or other health risks; significant changes to the structure, management or operation of the competent national authorities; the results of Member States' official controls; the results of Community controls carried out in accordance with Article 45; any amendment of the guidelines referred to in Article 43; scientific findings; the outcome of audits performed by a third country in a Member State.
