(4) In the light of the rapidly developing scientific understanding of the impact of non-CO_(2) related emissions from maritime transport on the global climate, an updated assessment of that impact should be carried out regularly in the context of this Regulation. Based on its assessments, the Commission should analyse the implications for policies and measures, in order to reduce those emissions.
